Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Everywhere!

Okay, waaaaay late on this post, but I'm trying to hard to catch up! And, in the interest of catching up, I'm going to try not to do as much narration this time and only give an intro and let you just use your imagination (mostly).

This year I was determined to find a real pumpkin patch to take Jack to, rather than just a parking lot patch. After a bit of research, it was decided that Tanaka Farms sounded like our best option. So one Tuesday in October, Jack and I grabbed grandma and Baby Luke (my mom watches Luke on Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and we met Ang and Austin down at the farm! We checked out the pumpkins, rode the tractor (for which Jack could hardly contain his excitement!), checked out some more pumpkins, "fed" some goats in the petting zoo, checked out pumpkins again, rode the tractor again, went in the corn maze, checked out more pumpkins (and Jack picked one out for him and Austin each), rode the tractor, and then we rode the tractor again. Jack absolutely loved the tractor, and Austin thought it was pretty cool, too! Luke thought it was very relaxing, as he fell immediately to sleep every time we got on. Actually, he pretty much slept the whole time-only waking to smile and coo, eat, and pee on grandma's leg- so maybe it was the whole farm experience he found relaxing rather than just the tractor.

"Grandma, look at all the pumpkins! Come on!"

I have to admit, I didn't mind riding the tractor so many times at all. It was fun, and I got to sit and rest my fat-pregnant-self for a bit. The best part, though, was that I knew that Jack was in heaven!

Jack thought that the green pumpkins were so interesting. He pulled them out of the pile, checked them out, and put them back, one-by-one.

Then Jack and Austin found some cool "bumpy" pumpkins...

... and Jack got his leg stuck under one of them!

But Luke didn't have to worry about getting stuck...

... his big cousin was watching out for him!

Then it was petting zoo time!

They had a tractor set up as a display so that people could take pictures without slowing down the real tractors... Jack thought it was so cool and he wouldn't get out of there until we told him that we were ready to ride the real tractor again!

This ride was much more bumpy than the first ride! It made is very hard to get my camera to focus right!

We let Jack guide us through the corn maze...

But he just couldn't seem to find the flag! Not even when we made it to the middle of the maze. "Where is the flag? I don't see it!"

What's so funny?

Oh. There it is! I found it!

This is about the time we should have stopped to change Luke's diaper...

... because this was also about the time that grandma felt something wet on her leg!

Then it was time to pick out pumpkins for the kids. Jack picked some great ones!

The boys (minus a still sleeping Luke) posed with their pumpkins...

... and you'll never guess what we did next.

Okay, so it probably wasn't that hard to guess that Jack wanted to ride the tractor again! We had a really fun time at the pumpkin patch! We even got a tiny little pumpkin for the baby! I had filled my memory card by that point (must get a bigger one!), but luckily my mom had her camera, too!
