It's Baby Time!

The day after Luke turned three, he became a big brother!  We all headed to the hospital bright and early in anticipation of the birth and dad put on his scrubs and punched in to work so that he could be our information liaison

And then Scott came out to bring us the good news and switch cameras so that we could see the pictures!  We didn't waste any time loading them and Jack was tripping all over himself to see pictures of his new baby cousin!

Finally, we were able to go back and see Amy and meet our baby!

Happy Third Birthday, Lukers!

Luke's third birthday brought a lot of fun events!  The first one was  his graduation from the Leaps and Bounds program.  It was a fun day because we were able to come in and watch the class have their snack (cookies and juice that "Luke" brought to share) and do their closing songs, complete with a little graduation "ceremony" for Luke!  I have some really cute videos of his little ceremony, but as there was no way to video without getting the faces of the other children in it, I can't post it here.  I can post a few photos, though, since I can add privacy bars to the photos!

After his class we went out to lunch at Buffalo Fire Department to celebrate!  We had a really nice lunch, and as Scott knew the chef they brought us a bunch of different delicious desserts to share on the house!

The next day we headed to my mom's house to celebrate Luke's birthday!  I made cupcakes and the boys were so excited to get to go play with and sing happy birthday to Luke.

Luke's birthday is also Sammy's half-birthday!

Celebrating My New Soon-To-Be Nephew

I was honored to be able to throw my sister another baby shower as she anticipated the arrival of another baby boy!  I was very excited to have another nephew, and my boys were very excited to have another baby cousin!

I had too much fun making the cake and the cookie party favors

And I enlisted my mom for help with a couple more turtle-y touches: a turtle watermelon (watermelon is Amy's favorite, so that was perfect!), and a turtle diaper sculpture!  I was so thankful that she was willing and able to do those, as I wasn't quite sure how I would have gotten them done!  And she did a great job!

For the activities, we played baby shower bingo, where the guests write what they think the mom-to-be will receive and mark off their squares as she opens her gifts, and we had the guests each make a scrapbook page for the baby's book.
